Seizing new opportunities.
Samuel Chiang is a visionary leader with a gift for driving change, identifying new opportunities, and leading people to seize them. Samuel has accomplished much in his career having started many companies and most recently serving as CEO for Seed Company which is a large non-profit in Arlington, Texas. Samuel entered an exciting new season of life when he made the decision to transition from his role as CEO of Seed Company to pursue new opportunities.
Creating clarity from ambiguity.
Samuel worked closely with Wayfinder in the past when he hired us to lead Seed Company through their strategic planning process. Samuel contacted Wayfinder seeking clarity for this exciting but uncertain life transition.
We led Samuel through a two-day life planning session using Paterson’s unique LifePlan process. The LifePlan process is a comprehensive process that takes into consideration every domain of a person’s life. Through this process we guide a leader to define their life vision, purpose, strategies and priorities. The process begins with gaining perspective, examining Samuel’s life story and current life circumstances. This perspective helped us identify life issues and opportunities, to clarify his core talents and passions, and discover the significant themes that would bring clarity to how Samuel should approach this new season of life.
Translating clarity to action.
On the second day we focused on planning and action. We translated the perspective gained on the first day into a life vision, life mission, life strategies and priorities. Samuel discovered that he wanted to invest the rest of his life helping leaders and organizations experience the same growth and impact that he himself has experienced through the organizations he has led. He also determined to live a healthy and balanced life spiritually and made a plan for investing in his wife and children.
Action that turns into results.
Samuel now has a clearly defined LifePlan that helps him focus on what is most important for his life, family and career. His next life assignment is clear and he has a life “Plan on a Page” to keep him focused, intentional and moving toward the life of his dreams. We are excited about the trajectory that Samuel is on and know he will change many lives and organizations as he executes his LifePlan.
